Khatira is Clinical Psychologist and one of the senior clinicians at CBT Australia. She has worked for over 12 years as a mental health professional and comes from a culturally and linguistically diverse background (CALD).

She has the privilege of working with people from all walks of life and is a trauma- informed practitioner. Khatira has years of experience working with individuals, families, and carers.

Her therapeutic style is client-centred and strength-based. She enjoys working in collaboration with clients, and aims to cultivate an authentic professional relationship with each client.

Khatira uses various evidence-based therapeutic frameworks such as rational emotive behaviour therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, schema therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.

She has the training to assist people struggling with symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, pornography addiction, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar, complex trauma, psychosis, schizophrenia, emotion regulation issues as well as grief and loss.

Khatira has completed Level 1 & 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and she uses the Gottman Method Couples Therapy as the basis for her couples therapy work. She is currently accepting new referrals for couples.
