Our team of Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Psychology Registrars are all registered with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Most services attract Medicare rebates.
In addition to treating a range of emotional and behavioural problems, other services offered include intellectual and educational assessments, assessments to support an application for funding for children with special needs, medico-legal assessments for personal injury claims.
Mental Health Treatment Plan (Medicare)
Substantial rebates are available from Medicare for up to 10 individual consultations in a calendar year.
To access the Medicare rebates, you will need to consult with your GP who will assess the help you need and create a mental health treatment plan for you. The plan will include treatment options and support services available. To start with the GP will refer you for up to 6 sessions and then a review will be required.
Clients should discuss eligibility for this and other Commonwealth government schemes to assist with payment of fees

*If a client has reached the safety net, the Medicare rebate is higher.
A number of the private health insurance agencies give partial rebates for psychological consultations. It is advised to check your policy to see what cover your policy gives you regarding consultations with a psychologist.
Other Programs and Resources
WorkCover, Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Department of Veterans Affairs will cover for consultations with a psychologist.
Victims Referral & Assistance Service and Victims of Crime Tribunal cover psychologist's fees for treatment of psychological problems after a crime. For these services a referral from a GP is not required but would be advantageous.
NDIS is Australia’s first national Scheme for people with disability. It provides funding directly to individuals. CBT Australia can support clients who are either self-managed or plan-managed.
