The Advanced Certificate workshop will be held 11 – 14 November at Sancta Sophia College, 8 Missenden Road, Camperdown NSW 2050.

This four-day workshop will focus on advanced CBT skills. Theoretical aspects will include differences between the various approaches to CBT and their
implications, integration of other techniques with CBT and advanced disputation. The program will address issues related to CBT with a range of challenging
clients.
This workshop is for participants who have basic knowledge and skills in cognitive behaviour therapy and have preferably completed the Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
Areas covered in this workshop may include:
- CBT with difficult clients
- CBT in the treatment of PTSD and OCD
- Advanced disputation strategies
- CBT and resilience: a positive approach
The days will involve morning lecture/discussion sessions with a strong emphasis on skills application and demonstration. Participants will be required to practice therapy skills during the lunch break. In the afternoon, small group workshops with a maximum of eight participants, will focus on skills development involving modelling, role-play, discussion and reviewing audiotapes recorded during the lunchbreak.
